We're dining there Saturday night and I need to know about dress codes before I finish packing. I know that tank tops are forbidden, but what about sandals? I think my sneakers will look tacky with the outfit I'm packing, but if I can wear them, I probably won't pack anything else. I have brand new croc sandals but I broke my foot and won't be able to wear anything other than sneaks through the parks :sad1:

Sandals are fine. :thumbsup2 I never wear anything else at disney, and I've eaten at several of the signature restaurants, including California Grill.

Sandals will be just fine. It is a lovely restaurant and most people had made an effort to be smart. Not over the top just nicely dressed. I wore a skirt and top (fitted t shirt style) and black sandals. DH wore trousers and a short sleeved shirt. There were a few people in there wearing jeans ect but they were in the minority.

The food is fabulous, we are going twice this year as we enjoyed it so much!

you will see everything across the board from people dressed nicely to those who are just a slight step up from park clothing.

There are lots of threads on the Disney dress code. It's really no code at all, except for a couple of things. No one can wear swimsuits. And, men can't wear tank tops. Anything else is fine -- jeans, shorts, t-shirts, cargo pants or cargo shorts. They say no torn jeans, but I'd bet even that isn't enforced unless they're torn to bare a lot of something that ought not be seen. Sandals, flipflops, running shoes, etc. are all fine. Most people are in park wear. Believe me, we've seen it all. I used to make some effort to dress up a bit, but since no one else does, I looked silly.

Few if any people dress up at the signature restaurants. Those that do, stand out.

A dress code is not enforced anywhere other than V&A and some of the Swan Dolphin restaurants.
