Calico Critter Help

My 9 year old daughter has requested some Calico Critter playsets for Christmas after seeing them at Toys R Us. Between us, my mom and I have purchased her the treehouse, a family, a camper and a camping tent.

However, it doesn't seem like it comes with anything but the shell of the house. I've looked for furniture and they're over $20.00 a set. I read that Woodzeez are good generic alternatives, but it seems like they are bright plastic and may not blend in well. I've also found Sylvanian furniture but I have no idea if it's the right size. I don't care about the brand but I'm looking for something a bit more affordable in the event I purchase the mansion.

I know nothing about these toys. I was just at Barnes noble picking up a book and they were on sale. I think it was buy one get one half off. You could try the website.

Oh. They also had the one with critters in Christmas clothes. Those were cute. It's what made me look at them.

Target sells a version that is a lot cheaper. They can be bought on line or in the store. Sometimes they are hard to find. They are called Woodzeez. We have both and even though the woodzeez look a little different the other items are just as good if not better than calico critters.

Sylvanian furniture fits nice. We have the mansion at the daycare I work at with Sylvanian furniture. The kids think its the best thing ever.

One of my friends has Sylvanian furniture with her Calico Critters and it looks fine. I think they are about the same size.

I bought my daughter the mansion a couple of years ago for her birthday. Amazon has the calico critter furniture on sale a lot, just not sure if they will have it on again before Christmas? It's usually buy one set, get another for half. DD is 11 and still plays with the set but the mansion is huge and it costs a small fortune to fill all the rooms. Toys r us also has 20% off quite often as well.
