On thursday we had a wonderful dinner at Cali Grill. Billy was our server and we couldn't have asked for better service. He helped us choose wines to accompany our meals and since he is a sommelier he really was very informative.
Great news, the Bonzai roll is back on the sushi menu, and I hope it stays there for a good while! DH ordered the bonzai roll for an app, DD ordered the beef flatbread. I didn't order an app as I just had lap band surgery in January and knew there was no way I could get that much food in. As it was I was ordering wine with dinner and eating and drinking at the same time is a no no. I did taste half a piece of DH's sushi and a bite of the flatbread both were wonderful.
DH had the snapper with the fig risotto, DD had the beef filet and I ordered my tried and true favorite the pork with polenta. DH enjoyed his meal as well as most of mine since I could only finish 2 pieces of my pork and about half of the polenta. DH also had 2/3 of my wine to complement the pork dish! DH and DD shared the chocolate creme brulee, and I did take a tiny taste which was very chocolatey and smooth as silk. I cannot say enough about the service and Billy's knowledge, food quality and of course the atmosphere. We did view the electric light pagent from the dining room with dessert, however, we did not stay for the fireworks, as in the past we found that the viewing is really not as good as being in the park. After dinner we walked to the MK and viewed the fireworks and stayed for the 11 pm electric light parade--I just love that!
Any questions just ask, as I leave here tomorrow, I may not get to it until Monday after work!
