We have a 7:20 reservation tomorrow. We would like a window seat. How do I go about getting one?

You can ask and express a willingness to wait, but it's at the discretion of the seater. We've gotten lucky a few times, and not so lucky others.

Also, Cali Grill has windows on the west (MK) side and the south side that doesn't have an MK view. We've been fairly lucky getting a window table but you may wait a while if you want an MK view.

If your plan is to see the fireworks, let your server know. You can take a break during your meal to go to the outside viewing area, if don't get a table by the window.

. . . How do I go about getting one?

1) Say a Prayer
2) Rub a rabbit's foot.
3) Wish upon a falling star.
4) Know someone, who knows someone, who knows someone.
5) Other than the above, ask the SEATER at the posium and hope she is kind to you.

Thanks for the replies. All we can do is ask and hope for the best.

In the past we've asked and made it clear that we're happy to wait as long as necessary. Then we just get drinks and try to relax until our preferable spot is available. I got into CG reservations knowing I'll probably end up needing to wait (often times up to an hour) since I tend to be picky about seating.

We ate there for the first time last week and loved it! We were not at a window but the windows are huge and we could see easily from our table. We did go outside to watch Wishes because we wanted to but many stayed inside to watch even if they were not right at the window.

We always go outside to watch wishes too. Definitely plan to get out there about 15 minutes before the show starts for a good view. IMO, the front viewing area is much better.

We did not have a window seat, but still had a great view due to the floor to ceiling windows. Plus, a lot of people go out to the deck to watch.

I also thought "prayer" is probably most useful approach (and asking nicely). Folks who are lucky to get those seats stick in them for long periods of time, which makes then extra scarce.

For what it's worth -- it really is nice almost anywhere in the place, and if you do not have a view, totally feel free to get up and go out on the patio before, during and after Wishes to soak in the view. :goodvibes

We do this exact thing. More times than not, it works out.

Just cross your fingers. My first time going, I got there early for a 9:00 pm ADR, with Hallo-Wishes starting at the same time. I lucked out and got a really nice table seat with a perfect view of the fireworks

I am happy to report that we had an amazing view of the castle as we dined on a fabulous meal! We arrived at 7:00 to check-in. My DH kindly asked for a window seat. The hostess said she would put in the request but it may not be possible. Our pager went off before we made to the restaurant. As we were being escorted to our table, our host told us we had a beautiful view and it was! It just shows that it doesn't hurt to ask!
