I am debating about all of them, :confused3 we are staying at WL so logistically AP would be more convenient (we already have an ADR there)....but I've heard mixed reviews and don't want to waste 2 dining credits on an "OK" meal!!!!
We also have DD3 with us, so any kid friendly suggestions would be great!!!!! ....thanks:love: :flower3:

Been to 3 out of your 4. Never been to AP. My opinion Cali Grill Mickey hands down.:worship:

I have been to all four places. I don't think you would have an "okay" meal at any of those places. If I had the choice, I would choose Citricos. Narcossee's is my 2nd pick.

I've been to 3 of the 4 (Cali Grill, Narcosses & AP); my first choice would be AP, second Narcosses for the food but Cali Grill for the atmosphere. Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone......I would like to try all 4....but time won't allow it...... :flower3:

I went to Artist Point with my two year old daughter and my sister in August 2006 when I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We chose the first dinner seating of the evening, because we were travelling with a child. I figured that if she got restless that I could always take her upstairs to our room. They were great with my daughter. The waiter gave her some crayons and everything went smoothly.

It was a nice dinner, and the food was okay. But I must say, we had MUCH better food at both Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and Kona Cafe. I read somewhere that the chef that was at Kona in 2006 was moved to Narcoosees. If that's the case, then Narcoosee's is probably phenomenal, because that dinner at Kona's was the best meal ever!

The problem with Artist Point was that my buffalo steak was tough and my sister's salmon was dry. It didn't ruin the meal for us, but it wasn't great either. We could have sent the food back, but I had the impression that it wouldn't have made a difference.

I did eat at California Grill once in 2003, and it was amazing. The food was prepared to perfection.

I haven't been to Narcoosee's since 1992, so I am sure it's changed quite a bit. And I have never been to Citricos.

This Christmas, we are staying at the AKL, and I want to try Jiko's. Also, I want to try one other signature dining experience. I just don't know which one? Can anyone help?

I don't really care about atmosphere--I am looking for the best food.

Been to all four, would return to any. I think my favorite because of atmosphere, view, experience is Narcoosess, then CaliGrill. Citricos and AP are also good, but I think the others are a little better. Check the menus here, AllEars and see what appeals most and enjoy. FWIW.

I think Citricos is just as good as Cali Grille food-wise, but the difference is the experience.
Cali Grille is fun, great view, outdoor roof top fun during the MK fireworks...but it's a much busier, noisier experience (lots of kids).
Citricos has a more subdued formal experience with a higher caliber wait staff. The service (and wine menu) at Citricos won me over.
Again, it all depends on the kind of experience you're looking for.

Wife has done Narcooses and says it doesn't touch either of the above, food-wise. Artist's Point isn't in the same league.

I've been to all four. My favorites were Citricos and Cali Grill. AP and Narcoossee's were at the bottom. I thought the food at Narcoossee's & AP was average at best. Service at both left a lot to be desired.

Food, service, and atmosphere at Citricos was outstanding! Cali Grill is a close second but it's a lot louder.

I dont really have anything to add to this thread - I did recently hear on the podcast that citricos had a wonderful review. I just wanted to comment on your siggie - thats a pretty phenomonal trip planning binder - time to write a book I think.

Been to all 4 several times and my fav of this group is Ca Grill but that's because I love sushi. Overall food, probably Citricos but there isn't much in the way of atmosphere or view that would please a toddler.

A lot depends on what you like. I'm a very basic, meat and potatos sort of guy so California Grill has absolutely nothing for me.

Artist Point has always been good, but if you're having the buffalo you should order it more on the rare side so it isn't tough. Your server should make that known.

We've never eaten at Citricos, but we eat at Narcoossee's a lot, the most recent being this past Monday. This is one of our top five and there is always something for every taste. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the scallop medalions. Both were excellent!

Based on my personal tastes, I would go for Narcoossee's.

With a young child, I think CG has the most adaptable menu and environment- it's a little louder than the others!

The key is an early dining time. I would avoid Citricos because of the atmosphere. I don't care for Narcoosee's. I've seen younger children in AP at the start of the dining hour and they were not out of place at all.

Between AP and CG, choose the menu that fits best.

Have a great dinner!
