We want to try a signature restaurant for the first time this trip. party includes me, DH, and DD6. We are pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but none of us care for sushi.Dd is very well behaved and really enjoys a good restaurant as much as we do. We are ok with all types of cooked fish, but Dh has a shellfish allergy. I can eat them at the same table as him, but he cannot eat them. Which restaurant would you recommend for us and why?

I would stay away from Flying Fish, as they are primarily a seafood restaurant. Narcoosees & CA Grill should be fine, but make sure to note on your ADR that your daughter has this allergy.

thanks! We always note DH's allergy on the ressie, but it is usually very clear on the menus what contains shellfish so we don't often have a problem with figuring out what is safe for him or not. I cannot always say the same for restaurants outside Disney!

I'd agree with the PP...Cal Grill or Narcoosees's will be your best bet. Of those two, Cal Grill would definitely be my pick. They have a great deal of variety and the view can't be beat.

With that said, on every trip to Disney, we always go to Cal Grill and Jiko...If you can only do one signature and you could pick from any of them...I would definitely recommend Jiko...next to V&A the best restaurant on Disney property! I love the setting, service, variety of food and the African wines. You can't go wrong with any of them...they are all good.

Thanks for the opinion! I'll have to check out the menu at Jiko!

Flying Fish has mostly fish, not much shellfish. The snapper dish is divine and the tuna tartar appetizer is outstanding. My personal favorite is the scallop entree and I love the cheese plate here. Non fish eaters enjoy the steak here too. I think it's a lot better than Ca Grill and Narcoosees.

Between CG and Narcoosees, I enjoy CG. They have a great selection of appetizers, outside of sushi. Although the entrees are not as good as the appetizers, it's still good and the view of MK at night is wonderful.

Narcoosees is my least favorite. It's the most casual of the signatures and the food presentation and taste are not at the same level as the other two restaurants.

We ate at several signatures on our last trip and California Grill was by far our favorite. The flatbreads are fantastic! Our entrees were also wonderful. The menu is eclectic and fun. We had great service and well...the view really can't be beat, although I'm the first to admit that you can't "eat" the atmosphere!
