Cali Grill dress code

What is the dress code for the California Grill? I keep hearing different things. My mom does not like to get dressed up. How dressed up do you have to get when eating there?

The dress code is the WDW version of business casual--as printed in the "Handy Guide to all the Magic" the code is:
"Men may wear dress pants, jeans, trousers or dress shorts along with short or long sleeved shirts (collar required). Women may wear jeans, skirts, dresses or dress shorts, with a blouse or sweater."
Note that no mention is made of footwear.
It seems the that shirt code for men is "fixated" on a collar. But for women, a "collar-less" sweater will get you in. So it seems any sort of T-shirt is out for both groups.
Would the code be enforced at CG?? Who knows?

When I booked yesterday the CM said, "No swimsuits" I cracked up... she did too!

They used to say "no tank tops" and I never would let my daughter wear them even with a skirt (you know how all the girls wear those little things) but recently a CM said they really just mean that they don't want guys wearing them. You know, no "wife beaters" at the California Grill

Sometimes I wonder what they "really mean". I wonder if they KNOW what they really mean!!
