Cali Grill and Fireworks

Hello:
Booking CG for my parent's "night out" on our family WDW trip (Nov. 13-Nov.20). Christmas Wishes will show that night during a MVMCP. So, the fireworks will be at 9:30pm. I was planning on booking an 8:30pm ADR on a Friday night. However, I am hearing about LONG waits at CG. Should I move the ressie up 15-30 minutes? I am trying to time it so they'll be seated and eating or just finishing up during the fireworks.

Any advice?

Ask for a window seat just in case. We tried to eat slow and order after our appetizers but finished 1/2 hour early. We hung out on the deck and saw the Water Electrical Parade. I hadn't seen that since 1973. Good Luck
