Just got back my x-ray on CD. I had a Lumbar Spine done. I have degenerative disc disease in my neck and they were checking all the way down. A few bone spurs, but I am ok.

I enjoy looking at the x-ray. Very interesting. The report says that I do have two calcified phleboliths or lymph nodes. They don't specify which it is. "May be calcified phleboliths. May be lymph nodes" Either or--What the heck are they and why are they in my body? I can see them very clearly on the X-Ray.

Just wondering if the calcifications (lower pelvic area) may have something to do with my ovarian cysts.

I have ovarian cysts that come and go and they have been reeking havoc on my intestinal system. Also, as embarrassing as it is-I have TON of black circles all over the x-ray. I have been very bloated and gassy for about a year (stupid cysts!) Does the black always mean gas?

Even though this was a spine x-ray-It shows quite a bit more than I expected. Radiology is quiet interesting!

Per Taber's Cyclopodic Medical Dictionary..phlebolith,phleboite: a calcareous concretion in a vein
phlebp=vein(greek)

Does black always mean gas? No. But it's probably just gas. Gas can be seen so easily on X-ray, so embarrasing.
