Hi, just to report back as we stayed there last week twice - on the way, then on the way back again!
The rooms were small but clean, good shower and comfortable beds (my 3 priorities!).
However - when we arrived at 9.15pm (on the way to DLP) the receptionist told us that reception had closed at 9pm so we needed to check in at the machine - no problem at all. EXCEPT that when we got to the room it was a smoking one, and it smelt disgusting

I ran back to reception - fortunately the man was still there closing up and he did change the room for us, but if he hadn't been there still there is no way of changing the room allocation on the machine. Apparently you have to phone ahead to request a non-smoking room.
So, we requested a non-smoking room for our return night stay there and then. However we decided to make sure we got there before 9pm just in case it was wrong - the smoking room was so horrible we couldn't have slept in it. We arrived at 8pm this time and our room was allocated already - no problem. So we watched TV for a bit, then I went to have a shower an hour or so later - NO TOWELS!!!! The reception man had gone this time, and there was nothing we could do about it. I ended up having a shower without washing my hair, and using the tiny bath mat as a make-do towel! My husband and daughter had to go without - fortunately we were only going straight home in the morning.
SO - yes I would stay there again as it was so convenient (less than 5 minutes drive from the Eurotunnel - though getting back there on the morning we left was very complicated for some reason. We ended up driving round and round (back past the hotel 3 times!) but made it in the end about 25 minutes after we left!).
BUT I would definitely PHONE AHEAD to pre-book a non-smoking room and CHECK THE ROOM on arrival to make sure nothing's missing, before the receptionist closes up for the night!
