Where did you see this? On the TV, online, or printed news? I didn't see it anywhere and the Disney sites haven't been updated.

Here are a couple of news links:

http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/homepage/abox/article_714866.php

(Note, you'll need to register to see the second link)

An excerpt from the OC Register story:

"Disney officials plan to re-open the California Screamin’ roller coaster on Friday, nearly 11 weeks after an accident sent 15 people to the hospital and state regulators closed the mile-long coaster for an investigation. "

If it's true, then WOOHOO!!!

IT is open !
IT'S True it's open and working, I can't wait till we go down to Disney. With c.S open it will just make the trip more enjoyable, It will be the first time I've been there when everything is up and running, believe it or not, I'll be going on space mountain and the madihorn for the first time as well. Every time we've been down they have both been closed.
20 days and counting....you ever notice that when you're waiting for something, how slowly time passess???

We are sorta in the same boat. This is our 2nd trip to DL, but we happened to go last year when they were getting ready for the 50th. It seemed like everything was shut down. We were able to ride Screamin though and glad we'll be able to ride it again next week when we get there. I'm also glad that we'll actually be able to see the castle this time!!! (and not the blue tarps!).

3 more days!!!!! :cool1:

Waaaaahooooooooooo!

I just got back from a work trip, and only now have checked in to see what the Boards have to tell me. Crossed my fingers, and checked on this thread about California Screamin' - and it worked.

I got to experience turbulence and stuff on my flight, and all I could think about was "This is what one of the rides in DL is going to feel like.". I am sure the stewardess (or whatever politically correct term they use) was wondering why I had such a goofy grin on my face when the plane is rattling and shaking, not knowing that next week I am going to Disneyland.

Now, it's open. I don't want any other of my fellow DIS'ers breaking the roller coaster again. :earseek:
