Cakes For Rehershal Dinner Question??

Since I seen the post about special cakes. I was wondering has anyone done a grooms cake for the RD?

If so can you post pictures please.

I'm planning and kinda hoping on doing a NY Mets on somehow since my DF and myself our Mets fans and that is what brought us together.

I had a Seattle Seahawks Groom's Cake for my DH at Ohana. I also had surprise tickets for him so under the little numbered footballs (on top of the dome's seating chart) are hints leading up to the surprise....gate D, section 134, row 5, you are here! He had to take them off in order... It was a huge hit!!

I set it all up through my coordinator. HTH

Your groom's cake turned out really well! It was such a neat idea!

I had a groom's cake for our welcome dinner @ 'Ohana the night before our wedding. It was a half sheet (marble cake, strawberry mousse w/ fresh strawberries... YUM!) and the cost was $213. I told our WP that I wanted a groom's cake that celebrated Disney and made reference to our honeymoon at Disneyland Paris. This is what we got:

I loved it! It was delicious as well. However, we had TONS of cake leftover. We ate cake for days after the wedding!

Very cool! Well I will let you know what I find out. I think I can get it all order through my wedding planner. But i will find out for us.

Great cake. i love it. I love the ticket idea as well. Instead of a mets one i might even do redskins for him. But i'm a raider fan so not sure about the redskin cake.

BaBeeCEE14 just a side note. If your DF is a huge mets fan. I thought this was a cool idea for a gift. Besides getting my DF mets cufflinks. I have also gone on the ny mets website and with the new stadium they are selling bricks to go in the front where you can have anything on them and you also get a replicia one as well. I just thought that was cool.

That's funny...I just moved to Greenville from Ft Lauderdale. South Florida just didn't do it for us anymore.

I guess your DF will be watching the playoff game today...Seattle is playing washington at 4:30!! I can't wait to hear what you decide for the cake. Oh....and our cake was chocolate with amaretto mousse filling and it was AMAZING!!!!! the cost was $175.

yes he will be watching it. Greenville was to slow paced for me. I only lived there a year. I'm originally from NJ north near nyc were everything is so fast.
But greenville the cost of living is nice. It does have some nice parts. if you look at my PJ our picture is from Downtown by the bridge.
