It is something some people post when a thread is going in one direction and they hijack it with pie or cake posts.

Not sure why, it is a game people like to play, just like when they were back on the grade school playground.

Here's the thing Rich. We are a fun, light-hearted bunch here and don't like it when someone is trying to muck up the waters. So when we see it, we do a cake or pie intervention. See Jen here, see only does cake interventions. George you'll see, he can handle his pies. It changes the subject and keeps everyone from kicking your *s* online. See how that works? We are just trying to be helpful If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I politely disagree with you, Rich. I see the Podcast forum as my happy place. I come here to share my day and talk about the cruise and read about the days of my "friends". I have enough conflict and drama in my life so trying to steer conversations in a fun and friendly way to cake vs. pie talk is my way of making peace. If I want to get in a debate about my cake is better than your cake, I'll take it to the Community forum.

Maybe you're still on the school playground, but I'm going to Disney World!

Hi Rich. Because I don't know you I'm going to take that as somewhat of a jab at us. IMHO, you need to lighten up a little. I'm not here for debates and arguing points. I'm not here to understand peoples inner thoughts. I'm here for Disney and to have some fun.

Okay, pie story. Every Thanksgiving I make a bunch of pumpkin pies. Yes, I use the can of pie mix, but a couple years ago I used the packed pumpkin and added the dry ingredients seperately. My nephew ate the pie and said it tasted like dirt. So I'm back to using the canned mix.
