I'm not talking ordering a whole cake for a birthday - but just good ol' fashion cake as a choice at restaurants.

I've had a divine strawberry cake at Chefs de France, and I love the ginger cake at Yakatori.

Who else offeres a great peice of cake?

Wolfgang Puck Cafe - the carrot cake I had there last month was fabulous. I let DH have a taste and he said it was good, but would have been better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Silly husband.

My favorite is the Grapefruit Cake sold at the Brown Derby. But, you can go next door to Starring Rolls and request a slice there without visiting the restaurant. Yum!

Yes - we plan on doing lunch here. First because DH always wanted to try it, and two because I wanted to try that cake!!!

And I like carrot cake, as long as it has an inch of cream cheese frosting

I don't know if the cake had a full inch of cream cheese frosting, but it had an awful lot of it. That was why my husband thought it needed some vanilla ice cream. He thought it was too sweet without it.

Thanks OKWMom - and I have to tell you that I love that picture of Dumbo and his mom. DD loved Dumbo as a baby, and at her wedding, she wants to dance to "Baby Mine" with DH. Pass the kleenex!!!!!

For CS, the Seasons food court in the Land pavillion at Epcot has some very good cake. I had the chocolate and enjoyed it a lot.

After all these years, I still have to give it to Linda's Fudge Cake at the Cheesecake Factory Food Quest in Disney Quest!:thumbsup2

Had 2 slices (on different days!) last trip. They top it with whipped cream!

Requires admission to DQ but soooooo worth it!:rotfl:

Wow It's a favorite cake here. Great to know. Thanks for the tip. :)

Slightly OT but if in search of the ultimate chocolate cake, try to find a Claim Jumper(CA based chain with huge portions. Have slowly expanded as far East as IL) in your travels. They have a huge 6 layer "Chocolate Motherlode" Cake with each serving weighing in the pounds!
Here is a recipe for a home version:

Good luck in your DisneyQuest :thumbsup2

The grapefruit cake is my favorite, too, and I had no clue that I could get it without visiting the Brown Derby!! Thanks!!:thumbsup2

We had the Kahlua-flavored Chocolate Cake at Whispering Canyon this past December and loved it. I'd make a trip back to the WCC just for another piece of that cake. It was that good. I'll admit I am a chocolate-lover, though. :)

The Chocolate Whiskey Cake at LeCellier!

And I hate Chocolate!

Cake Good!

Yup - going to Le Cellier's too, because I saw the cake. I prefer white cake/white frosting - wedding cake - but I'll go for chocolate if the cake is good. Thanks!

Grapefruit Cake at the Brown Derby! I had this for dessert last Thursday and it was yummy!

Wolfgang Puck's Flourless Chocolate Cake! YUM!

-or-

Kona Cafe Kilauea Torte (Warm Chocolate Cake with chocolate sauce inside! YUM!)

The chocolate cake at Tusker House was the best cake our family had ever tasted. Ever. My FIL wanted to visit AK again later in the week JUST for another slice of cake.

It beat every dessert we had that week - and with 6 adults on the dining plan for 8 nights, we had a LOT of dessert.

I wonder if it's consistently that good? I sure hope so!

I've seen that cake at Tusker House, but for some reason, I always forget to order dessert! And most carts around the world just sell ice cream and cookies.

I was taking a look at the menus and Fountainview seemed to offer a lot of cake choices. Anyone eat here?

okay subscribing - I am a cake a holic!!!

The Chocolate Whiskey Cake at Le Cellier....mmm.

Very good, you really can't taste the whiskey.

Get milk too. :)

Looking at the dinner menu for LeCellier, it does NOT list the cake - but the lunch menu does. Have you had this at dinner? Maybe it just wasn't on that particular menu that they posted.
