cake issues!!

Ok a little background.

There are only 18 of us haveing a wishes wedding at the whitehall room and then a dessert party.

Ok I love the mad hatter cake but the price for 18 of us for a 3 tier one is just too much. We have the two tier in the BEO at the moment but the pictures I have been sent make it look tiny.

I want something that people are going to look at and go wow!

Does anyone have any suggestions? We dont mind spending on the cake but not too much say $500-600 max I would say if I can get away with it.

Ideally I would like 3 tiers as then its a bit higher than the 2 tier mad hatter

any pics as well that will be great

not here as I'm at work but I will post it tonight, to me it only looks around 20-30 cms high but i'm just going on a picture on the cake table and to me its too small but it depends on what is important I guess.

I know the cake is going to be way to much but i want it to make a statement

Us too, that's why we when the Mad Hatter. No one will have ever seen anything like it over here.

It's suposed to feed up to 50 people....we have 33

It would be great if you could sent me the pics later. If we decide it looks too small, I will have to phone Carol and get it changed to a 3 teir and live off cake for the next week

If its all together I can see what your saying about it being very small.

We are having a two tier Mickey Wave cake with the castle on the top. I'm not really worried about the size of it two much I was more concerned with wasting the cake if we had 3 tiers as there are only 12 of us. But I really want the cake cutting included in our day which is why I ruled out the mini cakes.

Hi Sarah,
We had a 2 tier mad hatter for our 30 people and it was pretty darn big.
We were charged $450+handling.
I think if they charge you the same amt of $ it would have to be the same size as ours.
Just to give you an idea the bottom layer is about 8 inches tall and the top a little smaller. So it's a pretty good size.

Sarah, my cake was not a mad hatter cake, but each layer was HUGE. It was 4 layers of cake and filling. We took some 'goofing off' pictures with it before we tossed it out LOL:

Just had a look at cseca's photos and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. In fact because you are only having 18 people a cake any bigger would look out of place. This size seems perfect and still gives off the wow factor

Disney will pretty much do anything for a price, removing a tier shouldn't be a problem =)

YAY!!! This makes me happy!!! I really wanted that cake but I was going to settle for the monogram of Love. I like the mad hatter cakes so much more!!
