Cake Delivery or Restaurant dessert?

We are huge fans of ordering custom cakes. Anyone can order whatever dessert is on the menu, but it's a big deal when they bring out a big special cake from the back. I swear, pretty much every head in the house turns to watch the cake come out. I remember one cake the Contemporary did for us and delivered to California Grill where even mgmt wanted to come by and meet us...simply because the cake had major wow factor. The fancy fondant cakes are expertly designed by the pastry chefs and are every bit as special, if not more, than the menu items. We get at least one custom cake per trip and I'd skip dessert at every single meal in favor of a cake. :cake:

The tiered Mini cake is good for about 2-3 people. I wouldn't expect any leftovers on that one.
Cool! Its nice that it wont go to waste. In that case, why not try it out? Take a look at the dessert menu's first, see some pics if you can. And if there's nothing that interests you, order the cake. :) Easy peasy.

Congrats on all your celebrations!

I'm not much for desserts, but those restaurants will have some excellent ones. You also have to think, do you want the big production of a cake? I have friends who love to have big birthday to-dos (year after year) and they love the attention. I HATE that kind of stuff with a passion, so it'd be a really easy decision for me. Your little one might adore it, or might be like me and hide under a table when people start singing to her.
