Cake Boss - Next Great Baker

Anyone watching this? I missed the first couple of episodes but I got hooked on it now! It is so fun. Makes me want to take a cake decorating class too.

I don't know who I'm rooting for though...maybe Dana?

The one girl is too whiny and the other girl is too crazy, lol.

I *loved* his sugar work on the Christmas cake, and well, he just seems like a nice guy. I think he's the only one I haven't seen have some type of meltdown. I'd like to see him win.

Yep. Rooting for Dana too. But I am really rather put off by the lack of skills by the contestants. I am an amateur baker/cake decorator (and I mean REALLY amateur) and I could do better than some of them have done on even the basic things. And these guys are supposed to have experience.

I normally can not watch Cake Boss with all the yelling, but I do enjoy Next Great Baker. It has been interesting watching personalities conflict and seeing who can rise to the challenges. Dana has been very good thus far, but I'm not sure he would be the right person to work for Carlo's. Most of the contestants I wanted to see eliminated have been and I think that those remaining are the best of the "competitors".
