Part 3 DTD (and being banned from the Disney Home Store)
We decided to actually unpack the suitcases since we were there for 10 days. While we did this, the boys checked out the their goodies, the beach and the room. By this time, it was about 4:00, and we were hungry (no lunch, just snacks from the lounge). So we decided to head over to DTD for dinner, shopping, AP activation, and of course the boys wanted to go to Disney Quest (DQ). We ate at Rainforest Café (good food and service here, unlike our local restaurant). We went into the Home Store to look for some bath items for a friend. The boys are normally well behaved and well mannered. Today, I think they were too excited or too tired from having been up and going so early, because they were acting downright silly. They had to check everything out in the store. Andrew picked up an item to ask what it was, and dropped it. Well, it hit the edge of coffee mug sitting next to it. Pieces of the mug went flying everywhere. Chris & I walked away like we have never seen him before, and his mother was fussing him about touching things (really-they normally are not like this). Once everything settles down (glass pieces picked up and nice CMs not making anyone pay for the broken item), we finally leave the store. As we are leaving, I tease Andrew that he is now banned for life at the Home Store (and by the way, he now knows that the item he dropped was a metal wine bottle stopper). As we are leaving the store, his mother asks him why his hand is all red. Oh some red ink must have smeared on my hand he says. Suzanne then proceeds to realize that he is BLEEDING! (No I am not Mom its just red ink!) They get the wound (actually a small cut from the mug) cleaned and bandaged and it is off to DQ.
DQ is one of our favorite places to go. I hate video games, but I love DQ! The last time we were there, we did not get to do a lot of things, like the Pirates Of The Caribbean (POTC) virtual reality game. We had all evening, so we decided to wait in the 45 min. line for this. (Normally, we are not big fans of waiting in line that is what fast passes and enight are for!) So onto POTC! I choose to be the Captain and drive the boat, while the other three are the pirates and shoot the guns. Oh my GOSH! This was the most fun I have had in a long time! Well I thought I was going to wet my pants from laughing so hard when the boys were yelling at me to quit running into rocks only to realize that the big SEA SERPENT was actually eating the ship!! We all came out of this game laughing. We did a few other things like Ride the COMIX where I beat two teenage boys-they were very embarrassed that an old woman could beat them and Buzz Lightyear where the Moms were against the boys the Moms won of course, mainly because we knew how to drive the vehicle. Then we headed back to the hotel. We were scheduled to do early entry on Friday at AK, but everyone decided to wait to see what they felt like doing in the morning.
