I just booked a Candlelight Processional package for 12/12/09 (6:45 show, 4:15 dinner at Le Celier). When the CM was going over the info, she mentioned that it's 2 TS credits per person. Has it always been 2? I thought it was 1. I asked if it was because of the restaurant choice, and she said that all the restaurants are 2 TS for that package.

Am I crazy (entirely possible :) ) or did the package used to be 1 TS per person? We've never done it before but I thought that's what I read in the past.

If it is 2 TS, I'm not sure that I want to spend 2 on it. Is it really necessary to get the reserved seating for CP? Or, should I just make a regular dinner reservation and then go over to CP without reserved seating? We have 2 kids (DD 5, DS 3), so I thought having the reserved seating would be helpful.

Thanks for any input! Any comments on the CP show would be great too. Do you think it's worth going to in general?

It's now 2 TS on the DDP - that's new this year.

Without the package, depending on the night, you might not get in. And you might wait a long time in the standby line before finding out you don't get in. So I guess it depends on how important it is to you.

Personally, I wouldn't go to the CP with a 3 and 5 year old - I think they're too young for all the waiting & sitting & waiting, etc. But that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I hought about just taking my daughter, then my son & husband can go exploring. She loves to go to the theater, and enjoys the Christmas Story, so I feel pretty confident she would enjoy the CP. I just need to cancel before 48 hours, so I have plenty of time to decide what to do. Thanks again!

I do think it's worth going to. Of course, the narrator can make a big difference, but even with a so-so narrator, the music and the singing is still great.

We went last Dec w/our 6 and 3 year old (and we also at Le Cellier!). They were OK with the waiting in line part, but fell asleep right after we sat down!

Hello everyone. :) Do you have to book a package to attend the CP or is it something that you can attend for free if you're already in the park without a meal being involved?:confused3 I've never been and was hoping to attend this time around.

It is free.

The problem is you may not be able to get in (at least without a very long wait) for some performances.
These shows can be very popular, and the theater is not overly large.

Read the other replies in this thread for more info.

You don't have to have a package, but I wouldn't count on being able to get a seat in the theater without one. I went with the package in both '06 and '07, and the standby line was already long an hour before the show started. Since the theater is open to the World Showcase promenade, you can stand behind the seats, though.

You could just pay cash for the dinner instead of using your credits. That might make the whole thing easier justify.

If you got Le Cellier for the Candlelight package, you better keep it!!

It's extremely difficult to get Le Cellier much less for the package!

It's easier to get a standby seat during the week earlier in the month. Weekends are harder. I'll be there Dec 5 to 11, I plan on doing standby on Wednesday or Thursday. I've never had a problem getting a standby seat during this week by getting in line about 45 min before. A couple of times there were still some seats available at showtime (in the very back).

That's good to hear. We're going on a Tuesday night. Hopefully we'll be able to get in.
