It is certainly possible that it was something else, but I get a very specific sugar spike from regular soda and this was exactly like that.
Maybe I need to try it again to make sure....
It is most likely the Acesulfame Potassium, another artificial sweetener in Coke Zero. In animal studies it has been shown to effect insulin secretion. . .so most definitely it might be a YMMV.
