We have been to Cafe Mickey several times for lunch/dinner but never for breakfast. Is it buffet? Does anyone know if there is a child price please? (I've looked on dlrp magic but it only gives one price). Are babies (under one) free?

Also is there somewhere I can find out what times the characters are there for breakfast, or is it continuous? I know that there are afternoon times (between lunch/dinner) when the characters aren't there.

Thanks! :wave2:

Cafe Mickey is a buffet breakfast, usual continental stuff you get at all the hotels, plus scrambled eggs, streaky bacon, veal sausage, and cubed fried potato.

its one price for everyone in your party from age 3 upwards (no charge for under-3s).

The characters start coming out at 8am ish, and are there until 11am. They start out again at noon for lunch.

Thank you! Wow, 25 Euros is a lot to pay for a child's breakfast! Well it's a lot to pay for an adult but I had really expected there to be a child price like there is for dinner etc

is it the character meal you're more interested in, or somewhere different to have breakfast?

you could go visit the Disneyland Hotel and see their morning characters (anyone can go in and visit the public areas there, or any of the onsite hotels actually, have breakfast there, visit the lovely gift shop inside, meet the characters outside the breakfast restaurant).

You could do this at the Hotel New York too, and the onsite hotels are much cheaper for breakfast (the DLH is 14 euros per adult, 6 euros per child, HNY slightly cheaper, and the hot food options are better at both these breakfasts over the Cafe Mickey variety).

Really? I actually never knew you could go into the hotels for breakfast! We stay off site and usually take our own breakfast which we have in the room before leaving, so we've never really needed to know before I suppose. We've been through the hotels in the morning and seen the characters (remember the old days when you could park at the hotels with an AP? :) ), but I didn't know about breakfast!

Do you have to book, or just turn up?

you just turn up (certainly at the DLH you do, no need to book for breakfast). The best time to go, as a non-guest, is after 9 (we go at 10am and make it brunch instead of breakfast :)). You can go in for breakfast at the DLH until 11am.
Oh, and if you still have APs, you get AP discount too!

We will be buying francilien passes the day before - I don't know whether you can get discount with them on a day you can't use them for park entry? :confused3

Yes we would go later and use it as brunch, we've got a long drive afterwards so will be 'stocking up'!

Whilst you are on the subject of breakfast. We got to Annettes for breakfast between 10 and 1 and we love it there. You get an american style breakfast with hash browns, sausage, breakfast eggs and pancakes etc etc, 2 drinks and all for approx E11.

My kids love it! Plus its always mega quiet!

Thanks, we have only been to Annette's once, several years ago and for lunch not breakfast, but it was awful. We had heard so many great things about it but honestly it was the worst meal we've ever had at DLP and has totally put us off the place! :crazy2:

Back to the DLH/hotels - is there a child price or do we all pay the same?

theres a childs price at the onsite hotels - as I said, for the DLH adults pay 14 euros, children from ages 3 to 11 pay 4 euros. At the HNY its around 11 euros per adult, around 3 euros per child. As those are the closest hotels to the Village, and they are the only ones where hot food options are included at no extra cost, I'd stick to those ones myself (and I'm completely biased towards the DLH breakfast because its totally wonderful, a real VIP experience if you're staying offsite :goodvibes).
