Has anyone who has been to Walt Disney Studios Park recently noticed if the Café des Cascadeurs resturant was open?

Last time I saw it open was in September as we ate there.

I tend to check everytime I'm in the park as I really like it but I'm more often out of luck than not - It wasn't open yesterday for example as I checked :(

Thank you Carrie_Cat.

I've been trying to eat in this resturant for years. I think for a resturant with so much history, and there being so few resturants in WDS it would be open more. It is the oldest resturant in any Disney Park in the world, its older that the Disneyland in Anaheim and I would love to tick it off my bucket list.

It's always been closed when we have been there. I don't know anything about it, but it looks very American from outside. What do you mean about it being the oldest restaurant, I'm confused :thumbsup2

The metallic shell of the building was originally located in New Jersey (New York) and dates back to the early 1950s.

It was a restaurant there until the 90s when for some reason it was shipped to Germany. Disney somehow came across it and refurbished it.

I love it, it's feels really authentic and the food is great. It's just a shame it's not open much in winter.

Yes it's has a very interesting past you can read about the history of the resturant here.

It's a 1940s railroad car which was convered to a resturant 'The Excellent Diner' in the 1950's. So technicaly the oldest resturant in Disney history, as Disneyland opend in 1955 and everything built there was new.

In the 1990s it was sold and transported to Germany, then purchased by Disney and moved to WDS when the park was built.
