Cadbury plans chocolate-themed cafe chain
Chocolate maker Cadbury is planning to open a national chain of branded cafes.

The cafes - reportedly to be branded Cadbury Cocoa House - are expected to offer afternoon tea, along with a range of Cadbury-themed goods.

One novelty on offer could be chocolate building demonstrations of giant versions of well-known bars such as Curly Wurly and Flake.

Cadbury says it has been planning the move for some time - well before its recent takeover by US firm Kraft.

Negotiations are already under way for sites and the first outlets - in London - could be open for business before the end of the year.

However, Cadbury stressed that it was "very early days" for the plans.

Cadbury would not run the venture - called Cadbury Cocoa House - itself, instead it will be run under licence by a separate team, led by former Harrods director, David Morris.

There used to be a cadbury cafe and shop in Bath ............... used to love going there ............ everything on the menu had something to do with chocolate, then they changed it to sandwiches and some desserts - then it closed. I look forward to this

I heard this on the radio yesterday and I think it's a great idea, make a change from the coffee chains. Must admit though, I'm not the biggest fan of cadburys choc.

I am not a fan of Cadbury's either but given the queues at Thornton's for fruit and mallows dipped in chocolate I think this will be a big hit

Aw I'm jealous, I really wanted to see Hairspray but I'm working!
It's called Le Chocolatier and it's in the restaurant area (Eastside) of the new St. David's shopping centre. It should be really easy to find! I'm going in today I think to check it out
