Cabs from resort to resort

How easy is it to get a cab at a resort? Do you have to call in advance or can you just have the front desk call one for you? If cabs are just "hanging around" how late are they around? Just wondering b/c thinking of taking DD's to Simba's kid club while we eat at Boma at AKL, but we are staying at CBR and won't have a car. Thinking cab would be easier than busing it. While I'm posting, anyone know if the girls would need to be in car seats in the cab? They are 4yrs old.

We took a cab from AKL back to VWL and there were a few cabs waiting at 7 pm. If there aren't any there, they will call one for you. Taking a cab is much more convenient but rather expensive ($19 w/out tip).

Instead of spending money, you can pick up a bus to Downtown Disney, TTC, or a park then transfer to your resort bus. Its not exactly easier but its a way to save money

We went the first week in December and the few nights to take the water taxi from POR back to SSR was a bit chilly.

We asked for a cab at guest services right outside the main entry door and one miraculously appeared in less than two minutes.

The trip was $7.00.

The DTD buses are also a good stand-by. We were pleasantly pleased to see two attendants there at all times, radio-ing in to the dispatcher as to which resort buses were needed.

There have always been cabs in front of the resort when ever we have needed one. We always take a cab if we need to make an early ressie.

I got one at POR easy. I just went to Bell Services right outside and they called one for me since none were waiting. In less than 5 minutes I was on my way to AKL.

It was around 25.00 with the tip last year as I recall.

I don't know about car seats. We always had our own vehicle when the kids were younger.
