When we were there in feburary we hooked up the cable link to our tv ad we could watch tv fine but the channels did not match those on the TV guide directory on their tv guide channel. Is that because we didn't have their cable box? I didnt get some of the channels listed on the guide also. We did get disney's special channels just not on the channel #'s they listed.

1) The WDW listings are for the cable system.
2) You can still receive local DIGITAL over-the-air broadcasts.

We've used our TV on the Disney cable system without a cable box and it worked just fine...we had all the channels. Did you change your TV input setting from Air to Cable? Did you let your TV "scan" (program) for channels? Is your TV analog, digital, or both? Disney's cable is digital and has some analog channels, if I remember correctly. If your TV tuner isn't ATSC (digital), then you will need a cable box to convert ATSC to NTSC (analog).
