Cable Beach

ANY ONE DONE CABLE BEACH RECENTLY, AND WILLING TO SHARE ADVICE, SUGGSTIONS ETC.?

I was on the Disney Wonder Feb. 27th - March 3rd. And we went to Cable Beach/Wyndham Resort!
When we got off the ship we walked around town and did a little shopping and made our way to the Haagen Daaz store downtown Nassau. In front of this store is where we caught the #10 BUS for $1.00 a person. We told the driver we wanted to go to the Wyndham Hotel. It was about a 10 minute bus ride, maybe 15 minutes with a couple of stops. You can walk right through the Wyndham Resort and out to their pool or their beach area. Both are very nice! They also have a Casino and a few restaurants there. They don't charge to use their facilities because they're hoping you'll spend money there. I can't tell you much about the beach since my 2 year old didn't like it and wanted to be at the pool.
If you don't want to take the bus, you can take a taxi to the Wyndham Resort (just more money).
We had a GREAT day there for very cheap!
Be sure and bring your own towels (you can bring DCL towels with you).
And watch out for the drinks, they are very expensive there!

There are tons of threads about cable beach if you do a search. We went in September 04 in between 2 hurricanes and we went the year before in November 03. It used to be DCL's best kept secret until these boards! My kids love it there. I giggle everytime I see a post about staying on the ship because Nassau is awful. That's because they don't know where to go and what to do. It's an inexpensive awesome day.

THANKS!!!! SO THE WYNDAM IS THE BEST RESORT TO GO TO? i HAVE READ SOME DISCUSSION ABOUT HTE RADDISON. ANY OPINIONS?

The Raddison and the Wyndham are next to each other and I think they are still connected at some point. The Raddison pool IS nicer BUT, it's a private beach. Although they don't use wristbands......
