We will be reserving campsite for our travel trailer. DD, SIL, and granddaughters will be renting a cabin.
Are there loops that we can request for the TT that would be near the cabin loops? Want to avoid low, wet areas.

Are there still a couple of cabins in the preferred loops? Do "regular" folks ever get to stay in these cabins?

We have requested being near the pool in past, but would like to be near family in cabin this trip.

currently Loops 100 - 2000 are the Camper (TT, 5er, MH, Tent only etc.. ) sites. you can find some info about them at http://allears.net/acc/faq_fw.htm

While Loop 2100 was a cabin loop, it's changing and by all accounts is turning to a "Preferred" loop. If it is, and it's available, that might be a good choice. It seems loops 2200 - 2800 are the Cabin loops. That being said, there aren't too many other loops conveniently located near the cabins. Looking at a map http://allears.net/acc/ResortMaps/fort-wilderness-map-2.pdf loops 1100 and 2000 and possibly 1200 are probably the closest.

As far as "Wet areas" I haven't really encounter too many "Sites" that had that as an issue. Granted I have only been in the premium (and only twice) but even walking around I didn't really see it as an issue. I am sure, however, others could provide more details to that.

NC State Tigger,

There ARE two cabins down in 100 loop and they are there for VIP use (convenient to Pioneer Hall and beach/bus transports) and occasionally our posters have reported being assigned to them when not in VIP use. However, it is extremely hit and miss and normally are not available for a request to use them (because if people could just ask for them, they would stay full all the time). So I'd say that takes a Preferred-Cabin loop combo off the table.

For a Premium-Cabin loop combo the obvious choice is 1100 for the Premium (closest Premium to the Cabin loops) and 2200 for the Cabin (closest Cabin to the Premium loops). Each party should make their own reservation, exchange reservation numbers, then each call back and ask to have the other's reservation number noted on their own reservation. This will indicate a desire for the two parties to be close to each other.

Good luck!

While Loop 2100 was a cabin loop, it's changing and by all accounts is turning to a "Preferred" loop.

1) All cabins have now been cleared out of Loop-2100.
2) Only WDW maintenance sheds and broken concrete are left in the Loop.
3) The people who the cabins are temporarily storing them at the Disney STOL airport across from Space Mountain.

NOTE: "STOL" = Short Take Off and Landing Airport
