We are considering Thanksgiving week next year for vacation. We will have 2 family birthdays during that week also, so I wanted to take my mom. She is not able to do stairs at all or walk long distances. I think we can deal with the walking part but are any of the cabins handicapped accessible. (no stairs)

They sure are. We were in cabin loop 2600 2 years ago, and there were several cabins in our loop alone with wheelchair ramps up the the decks to get into the cabin.

Debster is correct - plus I believe the bathrooms, etc. in the cabins are made accessible.

I would call and ask for details, and likelihood of availability (I don't know how popular they are). Also, ask about the distance to the bus stop. I can't imagine that it would be far, but you never know. Some regular cabins are quite a hike.

You can rent golf carts to use throughout FW, but it is pricey. I know it is common to rent for just one day, the day you plan to explore an enjoy the resort. I sure wish we could have had a golf cart to drive to the lake to catch the shuttle boat each day (instead of waiting for the bus)!

We just got back from the cabins and had a handicapped accessible one. There is a ramp and a shower that has a seat and removeable shower head. Also the entire bathroom floor is flat so you could go right into the shower with a wheelchair. Living area is spacious as well. Bigger than we expected.
