So after missing my family at Fort this meet, thought could be fun to use my abundance of DVC points (since we don’t use as much anymore) to try a cabin over spring break. Now I knew that would most likely be very difficult, but I was surprised HOW MANY resorts DID have available rooms starting the Saturday of Easter weekend to the following Saturday, but the Fort cabins I could book a Wednesday and waitlist the rest if I wanted…pony is there is a lot of DVC availability, but Fort cabins… uh uh…

It sounds like people were jumping in at the 7 month window for that Easter/Spring Break time, @4077. We're at 5 months out now more/less.

I wonder if the last of the legacy cabins will have been converted by then. 2700 was the last loop still operating that I saw during the DISMeet earlier this month. I think it will be close. Maybe as they get towards the end of the conversions they'll be able to plan better as to when those last cabins will come online and fill them up with people on the wait list like yourself.

With them selling at the cabins and all the buzz, many have been booking up to check them out for spring break. I am not surprised you found much of it taken. Also remember, there are currently 3 loops of cabins offline, one in final inspection, one mid build and one post clearing out the old cabins. There is chance that more will come online and your wait list will come through by March.

They can only make available for points what they have declared. They declare more as they sell and they aren’t selling well. Rent your points and use the cash to book a cabin, you will possibly come out ahead
