I knew I could ask this question here and get some good input. I have a travel party of myself (in a wheelchair), my 19 y/o daughter, my 3 y/o granddaughter, and my daughter's best friends ages 20 & 21. I was going to pile us all into the cabins, but then I did some other looking around and noticed it would be cheaper to book 2 rooms at Pop. My daughter and I have been to Pop before, but her friends hace never been to Disney. I want them to feel what the magic is all about. Would Pop be a better plan? My fear is that the cabin would be too cramped. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA =)

Never stayed at the two. But researched the cabins. It can be a hike. That's why people rent golf carts. Also with 3 young ladies, two bathrooms at Pop would be a life saver.

Also do you plan on cooking?? Dont see the be benefit of a cabin if you are not using the kitchen

Feel the same way, researched the cabins.... Added cost of a golf cart at around 54.00 a day made this an unlikely choice... Getting to cabins pool, boat dock, not really within walking distance...plus, bunk beds, sleeper chairs and Murphy bed.... kitchen ( we don't cook on vacation... FW cabins were out...

When we did all the extras and the math came up to a lot more than a mod would cost... We went with a moderate... And by your scenario, the 2 rooms at Pop or better is a better deal all way around... direct access to pool, 2 bathrooms, food courts....etc..!

We love the cabins but in this case, I think you would be better with separate areas. With 2 rooms at Pop, two of the girls would have to share a bed.

Have you looked at the family suites at All-Star Music? There is a bedroom for you and the 3 year old, then the young ladies can have the living room. In this set up they would all have a separate bed to sleep on. Plus if they want to go out later than you, they would be in a separate room so they won't disturb you. In a cabin, I assume they would have the bedroom and they would use the main door into the living room when they come in.

The family suite has 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette so that can come in handy with a young one. Snacks, cereal for breakfast, etc.

I would expect the young ladies would be into a go-go-go vacation and the Fort wouldn't be the best way to do that. The Fort is best for a relaxing and quiet visit.

With the age makeup of the party, I'd suggest two rooms at Pop Century. I'm guesses you would either take the bed in the bedroom or the Murphy bed so that would leave two of the older girls to share the other. And one of the older girls in a bunk bed. Plus, there's only one bathroom at the Cabins.

With two rooms at Pop Century, you'll still have two of the older girls sharing a bed or you can bring a single air mattress for the floor (no need to deflate and inflate every day, just set it up against a wall before you leave for the day). You will also have two bathrooms.

Now, the Cabins would be easier on you with the wheelchair since they all are on the "first floor" but you can request first floor at Pop Century - you can request a handicapped accessible room as well.

I actually think the older girls would like to be able to walk around Pop Century and see all the icons. Plus, you can now cross over to Art of Animation with no problems so you get two food courts.

I would get a cabin six times before I would stay at POP, personally, but that's because I find POP to be really tacky. A lot of other people don't feel that way. Fort Wilderness is absolutely gorgeous, with great food, and in all honesty is no bigger than the other moderate or value resorts in terms of walking to transportation. The cabins are beautiful, whereas the value resorts definitely have a motel six feel to them.

Personally we have stayed at both. I would suggest Pop over the cabin. You will need more then one bathroom for sure with that many people. the murphy bed is really tiny and not that comfy. You can request a connecting room at Pop so you will still be together while you can keep the door open between the rooms and keep an eye on the girls. Just my thoughts. Have a great trip
