Cabins #2642 & 2644 anyone stayed in these?

The only 2 cabins left that are right next to each other are 2642 and 2644. These are on the noisey list, are they really that bad? We are from the west coast so we won't go to bed until around midnight, do you think the noises would be done by then? Thanks for the advice!

I haven't stayed in either of those two cabins, BUT, we just returned from our first cruise on Saturday and we stayed in 2650 which is just a couple of doors down. The noise was really only bad on port docking days. I just thought of it as a wake-up call. It really wasn't too bad to me.

We had those 2 cabins on the Nov 29th eastern. We liked that they were adjoining. The noise is most noticable mainly when docking, which tends to be early in the morning for the port arrivals. This wasn't really a problem since you tend to want to be and moving on port days. These rooms are close to the props and engine so theres a constant minor hum/vibration - depends on your noise tolerance as to how annoying this will be. Our state room host Daniel was great and the location was very convenient to get to the deck 3/4 restaurants & activities. The aft elevators were a lot less busy than the mid-ship and getting off and on the ship in the various ports was very convenient since you're close to the gangways. Have fun!

We stayed in the rooms across the hall once. And yes we could hear some noise from equipment on occasion, but it was rare and never lasted more than a minute. The noise wasn't all that load, it was just the room was so quite otherwise it made it easy to hear. The best part about this location is the lack of traffic in the hallway which tends to be the biggest noise problem for most cabins.

We would definitely be happy with this location for another cruise.

I was on the Nov. 1 cruise and this was our room. LOVED IT!! Like others have said, the only noise I heard was when docking, which was a blessing! I like most wanted to be up and moving on port days. I wanted to see us dock and take pictures. The day we docked at St. Maartin, I REALLY wanted to be up for docking, afterall, it was my first cruise and first docking. I slept so well that had there not been noise I would have slept through it. It was the noise of the propellers slowing us down that woke me. My SIL laughed, cause I bolted outta bed grabbed my camera and headed to deck 9 for pictures...as I was running down the hall she was yelling..your in you pajamas. I yelled back I know but I don't want to miss this! So, camera in hand, jammies on and bare foot I headed to deck 9. Took some beatuiful pictures, took in some fresh air, said good morning and great job to the captain and crew and headed back to my cabin to get dressed for breakfast. It was a wonderful vacation!

We were in the 2 rooms next door--2646 and 2648--on the Christmas 2003 cruise. We've even sighned up for those exact 2 rooms for the Christmas 2005 cruise, so you can see we think they're fine. I will not repeat what eveyone else has already said--because they said it so well. We compared the noise to the dull hummm of an air conditioner and it actually lulls you to sleep.

Our teen DDs were in our adjoining room and I think the hummming helped me not hear them when they came in late and so I slept the night through!

We also had Daniel as our stateroom host and he was great.
