First time staying at Fort Wilderness. There will be six of us going, so we are staying in a cabin, in August. I hear a lot of talk about premium loops for campers / tents. How about cabins? Should we try to ask (I know a request is only a request) for something specific, or are we good anywhere we stay? Thanks for you help!

If you aren't getting a golf cart, try one of the loops near a pool so it's walkable. Try the 2500 - 2800 loops. Plus, request a cabin closest to the neck of the loop (bus stop) if you have kids.

If you have a cart reservation, request an outside loop on 2300, 2500 or 2700 or with a woods view :)

Watch out for otters and armadillos :)

I would definitely recommend requesting a cabin close to the bus. Then if you can arrive as early as possible. We usually get there around 10-11am and check in. Of course our cabin is not ready, BUT we have our tickets and can head to any one of the parks or go to downtown Disney and soak up some magic.
