I read in the new Passporter that Verandahs on Deck 6 are bigger than those on Deck 7. How much bigger?

Also, does the difference in Verandah size also affect the size of the Cat. 8's on decks 6 & 7. In my brochure, the cabins on deck 7 look a little smaller.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that all non-suite verandahs (non-handicapped room) are the same size, whatever deck you're on.

The difference between the two categories is a Navigators Veranda verss a full veranda. There should not be a difference in length or width.

You can get info about hte navigator's veranda on many different web sites including seeing pictures on www.catawayclub.com and on Disney's and here on the DIS.

Actually, the Passporter was referring to the depth of the verandahs for the regular verandah cabins in Cat. 5 and Cat. 6.

I have the Passporter and have read this, too. It's funny though because I've never seen it mentioned here on the boards before this thread. We were in a Cat 6 cabin, on deck 6, and the verandah was great, but I'm not sure how much deeper it was, compared to a Cat 5 on Deck 7.

In your original post, you said: Also, does the difference in Verandah size also affect the size of the Cat. 8's on decks 6 & 7. In my brochure, the cabins on deck 7 look a little smaller.

From what I've read, the cabins themselves would be the same size.

I don't know if I've answered your question or not, but just wanted you to know that I did also read about the difference in size of verandah, in the Passporter! (I have the first AND second editions of it).

Hope this helps! :)

Here's a pic I found on the web of the balconies from an outside angle. I don't know if this helps, but the "you are here" is pointing to Deck 8, so the deck below it is Deck 7, then its Deck 6

They all look basically the same size to me.
