Does anyone know if it is possible to get a "tour" of other cabin types while on a cruise. Since this is our first every cruise (Aug 19, 2004) we booked a category 5 cabin (the category 6 cabins were sold out) in order to get a full size balcony.

In the future (assuming we like this cruise) we may be happy with a category 8 or 9 cabin to save money for other fun cruise things. Or even move up to a suite if we have more cruisers with us next time. But my DW would like to see the actual cabins.

THANKS in advance for your help !!

If you walk past the room when housekeeping is making it up you can peek in. The cat 9 is exactly the same as the cat 5 or 6 but there is a large porthole window instead of the veranda.

Thanks for the input. I kind of figured we could peek in but was hoping to actually get in the cabin(s) to make sure it didn't seem "claustrophobic" or that the suites seem big enough. I thought it might be hard to get into any cabins if the cruise is a full as we think it will be.

I guess we will play it by ear and talk to the cabin steward when we get onboard.

Thanks again for your help !!

A lot of times they will let you look at the cabins on the last day after the people have left them. That is your best bet. Just check with guest services sometime during the cruise.

Just to let you know they will let you into the rooms on the last day after people check out because me DD and her DH did that 2 years ago they got to see the Walt Disney Suite. They came and told me about how great is was, so as soon as I got home from that cruise I called to book that suite. The only thing is I had to wait 2 years for it because it's aways booked up.
So just ask and they will let you!

good luck ::MickeyMo

Thanks so much for the information. We will make a point to see the other cabins we are interested in before we leave.

THANKS AGAIN !!
