I finally made the switch from 2 rooms at the Boardwalk to a cabin (we can add dining now and still save $$) However, I would like to make this transition as painless as possible (we've never camped before) so:
1) what area should we request/or avoid?
2) What "extras" will we need for the cabin (cups, paper towels, etc?)
3) How do we rent a golf cart and where do you park it once you go to the Magic Kingdom? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

You will enjoy Ft Wilderness but you won't be camping, the cabins are complete homes. All the cabin loops are great so you won't be wrong in any loop.If you go to allearsnet.com you will find a map and also a list of all the cabin supplies, plus a lot of other info about Ft Wilderness. You can reserve a golf cart by calling the bike barn 407-824-2742.If you go to one of the parks you can park your cart at the bus stop or the dock area for the boat to the Magic Kingdom. You can not take the cart out of Ft Wilderness it is only for use within the campground area you can not take it to the Magic Kindgom or any other park or resort.Enjoy your stay. :cheer2:

everyone mentioned to us to take a cookie sheet for a pizza (but we place ours right on the rack so that was a non-issue for us). however, no one mentioned to bring a pizza cutter! Also, SOS or Brillo pads would be helpful if you burn something!

The cabins are fully equiped you don't need to bring anything you would not bring to any hotel, except food if you want it. You can park your car plus your golf cart right in front of your "home" so unpacking should be easier. As for a cookie sheet or brillo pad unless you plan on doing a lot of cooking I wouldn't bother(if you really burn something bad and need a brillo they do sell them at the Trading Posts). You will have a dishwasher w/soap and daily maid service so just relax and enjoy the peacefullness of FW.
