This will be our 1st time at Disn let alone Fort Wilderness  We will be checking in Fri May 20th :cheer2: & out May 24 :rotfl2: . Our Grandaughter princess: will celebrate her 4th birthday :bday: on the 21st so we really want to have a great time. Can anyone tell us a good loop to resv a cabin.

Are you aloud to have camp fires or are they all at one location?

Can we bring our own bikes?

How is the Beach area?

:genie:

Happy 4th birthday for your little princess.

1.) Campfires are not allowed at your cabins, only at the sing a long/movie area so don't forget to pack your makings for smores!
2.) Yes, you can bring your own bikes
3.) The beach is wonderful. You can not go swimming at the beach, but you can go there to watch the fireworks and the water parade.

As for the cabin loops, if you don't want to walk far from the bus stop ask for a cabin at the end of the loop. I don't really know which loop is best because it has been a while since I have stayed in one of them. We usually bring our camper. However, with that said, I loved the cabins. It is wonderful that you don't have to worry about the noise level as much as a hotel room. The campground is the best that I have ever stayed at. Everything is clean and convenient. Don't know if you are planning on renting a golf cart, but my 3yo dd loves to ride around on ours looking for peacocks and going to the petting zoo. Have a wonderful and safe trip.

Thank you! :flower: I just resv our cabin for the 22nd - the 26th :earboy2: . All booked for the 20th & 21st :sad2: .

Have any suggestions for those 2 nights :bday: the 21st is her birthday and we are going to MK that day.

On the 21st start the day off at Chef Mickey's for a character breakfast. This is at the contemporary resort and you need to get a Priority Seating!!

Tell the hostess/host that it is her bday. We did this a couple of years ago for DS and DH bday and this is what Chef Mickey's did: both received the "Birthday" button pin, placemats, cupcakes after b'fast, they sang happy bday, and I think got an extra visit from mickey and minnie for another photo op. When you go into MK after this, all the CM's will see the button and some may give her trading pins :goodvibes (this happened w/ my ds) , they will all say happy bday and she will feel so special!

Another cool thing to do at MK is to go to the barber shop on main street and have her hair fixed. Even if they don't cut it they can do it up and put "pixie" dust in it. We have yet to do this but I really want to. I think this runs about $15 (usually for a cut and do).

Of course there are always the fireworks at night and at fort wilderness (FW) you can see the FREE campfire program and disney movie. Not sure on the starting time probably 8pm since it gets dark later now.

Also, the easiest way to travel from FW to MK is by the boat. You should probably post another thread on the family board to see if anyone has any suggestions.

The cabins also have a standing charcoal grill if you'd like to cookout and use the warm coals for roasting marshmallows ..... mmmm.... s'mores....

If you can bring bikes I do *highly* recommend them. Sometimes it's nice not to have to wait for a bus to get to the pool ;)

I am so happy :goodvibes I found this site I have had some great idea's sent my way. :jumping1: Gracyn will be sooo Happy :bride: about having her done. Do we have to schedule a appt? Do you know what hotel Chef Mickey ::MickeyMo is in?

No appointment for the barber shop. It is in the Magic Kingdom on the left side of the Main Street area next to the Fire Hall.

Chef Mickey's is at the Contemporary, and you will need to try NOW to get reservations for that!

If you do the campfire program on her birthday they invite the birthday kids up and sing to them.

Have fun planning!!
