Cabin Mousekeeping question

I'd like to request that Mousekeeping hit our cabin early in the day. We'll be bringing a 4 year old, and we're an active-morning / lazy-afternoon family. Is this a reasonable request (as in, likely to be fulfilled)? Or just a pipe dream and they'll get to our cabin when they get there?

I know "you can request anything", but I don't want to bother if it's just not a possibility given how the loops are set up.

You never know unless you ask, I do know it seems that almost every Disney hotel we have stayed at (Cabins included) they always come in the afternoon. They must start early somewhere, just tell them your situation and I bet they will help..

I, too, cannot be exact with a response, but in my recent stay, mousekeeping came early...like 9am. They just asked if they should come back later and we said yes and they did come back. This leads me to believe that your request is possible. Also, you can request towel service only, so they'll trade clean for dirty towels and not clean the entire cabin.

The cabin mousekeepers are like ninjas. Last year when I stayed in the cabins we didnt really have a set schedule. Some days we slept late and others we got up really early. It seems like they knew when we left and came then. :confused3

1) It is up to the Housekeeping Mgr at the resort.
2) Depends upon
. . . number of other requests before you
. . . maid absenteeism
. . . number of check-ins / check-outs
. . . if you ask nicely
. . . phase of the moon

Having stayed in a cabin many times all I can tell you is to talk to your mousekeeper when you see her. They are all wonderful and really try to help you. You can also put the no service card in your key box.

I bet a little extra mousekeeping tip might help;) At least it can't hurt:thumbsup2

1) You might think so.
2) But, the Housekeeping Mgr determines the
. . . room route
. . . assignment of which maids to which rooms
. . . order of the rooms to be cleaned
3) They do try to accomodate your request.
4) But, no guaranteed.

On the inside of the cabin door there is a card which on one side reads 'service requested" and on the other "privacy requested. " A mousekeeper told me that to put the service requested side up into space where room key goes, and they would know we were ready for their services.

Got service everytime when we were gone from room

Brilliant! I've never been disappointed with Disney hospitality, but planning my first trip as a mom is raising questions I've just never thought of before!
