Hi all,
My dream all these years--turning 50 in 2008-- has been to stay at the cabins. In 2006, DH and two DDs (20 and 17) and I stayed at GF in June and YC over Christmas (very fancy vacations). Slightly spoiled princesses aren't thrilled about cabins, but as I said it's my dream. What are the pros about staying in the cabins?Any suggestions regarding loops? Also, how crowded is July 4? Last year, one of our vacations was over Christmas and it was unbelievably busy. Repeating those types of crowds in the heat is a scary thought. Thanks so much for your help in making this mom's dream come true.

Sounds like a great dream to me! I've never stayed in the cabins but would love to some day. There was a long discussion on here recently about people going to/meeting up at FW for the past 4th of July. There might be some info there about crowds and such (maybe back a page or two on this forum). What I understand is it's very crowded in the parks (especially the Magic Kingdom) but many special things happen and if you go in there with the mindset that it's going to be crowded and plan for it, you'll be OK.

Thanks. We're booking the cabins for seven nights over the 4th of July. The pix of the parade in the fort sold me. I'll plan accordingly for crowds and will look up posts. Can't wait.

We love the cabins!! This our 2nd trip to stay at the cabins this year!!

Loop 2500 is nice. Small loop near the pool and close to a bus stop if I remember correctly.

I'm sure you'll love it there, and so will your girls.
