Hi folks,

I've been a reader of these boards over the last year, but it's my first posting.

We'll be staying at FW cabins in two weeks. :)

I've heard rumor that there are two "VIP" cabins up towards the marina.

A) is this true?

B) If so, is there any chance of these being available to the average joe?

C) If not, could you recomend a loop to request.

Thanks!

Yaka

Well, howdy and welcome to the friendliest board in the Wilderness!!

The cabins are usually occupied, but I don't know what your chances are of getting one.

If you are going to make a request, you need to decide what is most important to you and request it, rather than a particular cabin or loop. Is it more important to be close to a bus stop, close to the pool, in a quiet location--decide and then ask for that.

Have fun planning and anticipating and feel free to join in here often! We love to talk about FW here--it's what some of us go to work for!!

I agree with campingcorgi about asking for bus stop ect. But you can also request loops. The loops near the quiet pool and laundry are 2500,2600 and 2700. the loops which are nearest to the Meadows pool ,trading post and the campfire program are 2100,2200 and 2300. All loops are on the purple bus line which will take you to the Outpost where you register and catch the buses to Epcot,Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney,or to The Settlement where you can catch a bus to MGM or a boat to the Magic Kingdom. You also have a trading post ,the Trails End Buffet, Hoop-Dee-Doo dinner show and the petting zoo at the Settlement.Have a great vacation.:goodvibes

Ya, bus routes aren't terribly important to us. We'll be renting a car and driving to the parks, rather than taking a bus to the bus to the etc etc.

MK is worth taking the ferry. You then avoid the tram and monorail or ferry.

The 2 cabins on the 100 loop used to be reserved for friends of the powers that be. I understand that anyone can rent them now, that will give you access to the marina area but to go tothe other parks you have to go to the other end of the campground and will still need the bus

When we were there in December there were buses at the petting zoo bus stop that went to MGM and in the evening (after 4) there was a bus to the TTC. That was odd to me, because it was discussed right before we left that the FW/TTC buses had been cancelled. The bus driver on the bus to the TTC told me it runs after 4:00. I think the best thing is to wait til you check in and get the 411 about FW buses, they change things so often.

I'd agree that taking the water launch to the MK is probably a better option than driving and then having to take a ferry or monorail into the MK. The parking lots don't put you right at the Kingdom, where as the launch drops you right at the gates.
