How do you get a hold of the total of available cabins, per category, for each cruise date?
I would like to look at the current numbers, especially for 2021.
I’ve been thinking about where DCL might have to cuts to accommodate maximum occupancy.

This paragraph is rhetorical.
Say for example the New Year’s Eve cruise for any one of the ships. Let’s say the starting limit would be 30%, 59%, or 70%. Would DCL compliance currently be at 70%? If it was required to get to 30% how many rooms would they be approximately overbooked? These are things I would like to look at, and just think about. I don’t want someone to break it all down for me, I like to play around with things.

Although I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on how you believe they would reduce the numbers if they needed to get them down. Would they tell the people with inside rooms their cruise would have to be rescheduled? (I thought this might make sense for an air circulation need). Would they offer a incentive to reschedule for platinum or gold Castaway members until they got to the set limit? Are the cruises at 25% and they would be darn lucky to get it up another 5%?

Has DCL ever been overbooked and sent someone home with no cabin?

No hate here, just an armchair quarterback looking to talk about DCL’s comeback.

Not sure where you're getting the 25% capacity for resumption of cruises on DCL, there is a lot of rumors all over social media about what cruise lines will or won't do when they restart. Sure they might institute a reduction of the total guests on a ship but I haven't heard or seen any firm decision about how many they'll set a limit at or even if there will be a limit. I do wonder if they've been restricting the total number of bookings to reduce the ship's pax load already but it's hard to say on DCL's website if there's any restrictions or prohibitions with the way they let guests book online and only show a very small segment of available staterooms. So a lot of this is just speculation, until we get an official word from DCL about what bookings are like going forward, especially after the CDC lifts the NO Sail order, we just won't know who or what will be allowed or reduced. It's been a while since they've done any cancellations so until they make any further changes we just won't know.

There isnt any difference in air flow between an inside stateroom and an ocean view with porthole. However, from a profit stance, I'd expect the rooms that have paid the least will be offered an alternative cruise (probably with some kind of discount or OBC for the inconvenience - you'd hope!). I half expect them to then use the spare rooms to house crew members so there arent so many sharing a cabin, making it easier for them to isolate should they need to.

Hmmmm not sure about the crew members residing in guest staterooms/decks (whether they're inside or not) that is not an optic DCL would ever promote, the only possible scenario to allow crew members from sleeping multiple crew to a single stateroom would be to possibly eliminate say Deck 1 (Magic/Wonder) Deck 2 (Dream/Fantasy) to revenue guests and give them to crew members, and restrict guest access to those areas. If they did that it would also eliminate the possibility of using those decks for "Isolation" rooms in case any guests did happen to get sick during a cruise. The reduced capacity on ships will not be a permanent feature for the future just until the virus ceases to be a threat via a working vaccine or eventual "herd immunity" although with the revelation of actual re-infections happening, I'm not sure that will even be a solution.

I was saying MAYBE some sailings were only 25% booked currently and that they might not have to worry about reducing the number of people on board. Because I have no idea where the current bookings on the ship stand. I probably worded that badly.
What is a “pax load”?
Use the Cruise fish website.
I use Cruise Fish, I must not be looking in the right place. Do you have any description for me to help me find the page? I’m guessing the link title has me confused.

I don’t know why but I was thinking that the windows open. (I’m so embarrassed I should’ve remembered ) That wouldn’t have been the same airflow that I believe a veranda has, I thought somebody in a prior thread had mentioned that verandas could use an external airflow system but it would cause a hardship on the vessel with so much salt and exposure. Wasn’t that posted out there somewhere?

Do you really think they would move a individual? My thoughts are that they would keep her family together since everyone had been exposed from the individual originally showing a fever.
I’m not sure reduced capacity, can be avoided in the future anymore. Now that we have an individual or two that have been reinfected with COVID (one of the new strands) social distancing in the dining rooms and pools will need to continue. I think a need to enlarge those areas where no mask is used and find a new number at maximum capacity. If Covid is a way of life, distance from strangers would be especially helpful in a dining or pool setting.
I think the Wish is going to be a totally different ship. Kinda expensive for Disney, I will bet since it will address some of these problems as they build. Perhaps like some of the Royal Caribbean ships they will stack the restaurants.

Sorry Pax load is just an abbreviation for Passenger Load. Again my comments just seem to reinforce the fact that DCL is keeping EVERYTHING close to the vest, no word on changes or reconfigurations or anything having to do with the current dry dock work. I'm guessing that they're just adapting to changes as they happen so releasing information might not be current by the time everyone finds out about it. We're all speculating right now, I have confidence that DCL is going to work hard at making the ships as accommodating as possible for any passengers that board once they resume operations.

Cruise fish - finder - Disney Cruise - select your ship - select your date. This then shows you a percentage what is still available. Hope that helps @Snowwhyt?
I must have done it wrong again. Somehow I always get to the current price of pp room. Perhaps it’s because they changed the order of her island stops? It is crossed out for January 11, 2021.

When you click on the date, you'll get a page showing all categories, with current pricing. Click on the price of the category you're interested in and you'll get a window showing opening day price, and any price increases (by date).
