How do you get a hold of the total of available cabins, per category, for each cruise date?
I would like to look at the current numbers, especially for 2021.
I’ve been thinking about where DCL might have to cuts to accommodate maximum occupancy.
This paragraph is rhetorical.
Say for example the New Year’s Eve cruise for any one of the ships. Let’s say the starting limit would be 30%, 59%, or 70%. Would DCL compliance currently be at 70%? If it was required to get to 30% how many rooms would they be approximately overbooked? These are things I would like to look at, and just think about. I don’t want someone to break it all down for me, I like to play around with things.
Although I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on how you believe they would reduce the numbers if they needed to get them down. Would they tell the people with inside rooms their cruise would have to be rescheduled? (I thought this might make sense for an air circulation need). Would they offer a incentive to reschedule for platinum or gold Castaway members until they got to the set limit? Are the cruises at 25% and they would be darn lucky to get it up another 5%?
Has DCL ever been overbooked and sent someone home with no cabin?
No hate here, just an armchair quarterback looking to talk about DCL’s comeback.
