We just received confirmation for our 2005 cruise for cabin 8032.

We knew we wanted a cat. 3 room and heard that this is one of the cabins that feels bigger. We also love the idea of the murphy bed being in the living room since my neice may sleep in our room once in a while. Any comments good or bad about the location? Will it be noisy? We don't mind daytime noise, but may get a little upset if I can't sleep in the middle of the night....
Last time we stayed in 8602 and didn't mind the motor noise or the noise of the scraping chairs early in the morning. We tend to have the kids in bed by 10, but they are heavy sleepers and sleep through most noise.

Sorry if this has been asked before but the search function isn't working

shelly3girls -
On our last cruise we stayed in 8030 (right next door to 8032).
As for the location, it can't be beat. You are right next to the midship elevators and only 1 flight by stairs to all the action on deck 9. There is occaisional noise from deck 9 but nothing to worry about and we never heard anything while we were sleeping. On the last day of our cruise we went into 8032 to
look around and I can assure you that the pictures that I have
seen of this suite do not come close to doing it justice. It is an amazing cabin and I guarantee that you will love it. The size is
terrific, the decor is beautiful and that verandah makes the extra cost worth every penny. Congratulations on booking one of the best accomodations on the ship (or for that matter on any ship at sea).

Thank you for the responses. My only real concern was that the room would be really loud, but it doesn't sound like that is the case. Now just the waiting.....

Wow Howardk613, you were in Walt's Suite - how cool! Tell me more, can I live through you!

Shelly3girl, I'm booked directly across from you - different cuising date though - May 2004. We cruised last year in 8582 and had the pull down in the bedroom. I'm curious to see the pull down in the living area. In the bedroom, with the pull down, it was hard to get to the verandah. But having a younger one, it was fine. We loved the location. One set of stairs to the buffet.... ;)

Hey, I'm all for putting the kids in one room -- ;)

When booking, I was told it was "wider" in the living area which seems more practical.

Happy sailing to you! Merry Christmas!

it's a great room...
we were in 8534 which is the identical layout....
we enjoyed every second...
next july we'll be in 8030, right next door to the one you're going to be in...

Hi!

We were in 8532 on the 12/6 cruise on the Magic, and the only night we really heard any noise was during the Mexicali party, and it wasn't too bad.

of the 4 of us, only i heard noise during the night....at about 4 in the morning i think it was....as chairs were being moved...but i was the only one who heard it...
the rest of the family slept through, including my light as a feather sleeper daughter...
but that was minor.....it's a great location and a great room layout...
we didn't know what to expect, so we literally 'gasped' when we walked into the room for the first time....it was THAT beautiful....
