Love it Wendy! My Dsis and DBIL from Lehi were over for Christmas and I had to show them! DBIL is a contractor and has several of those "hookers wanted" T-shirts (and hats) from that crane company. I laughed when I saw it! But my sister wanted to know how you could've missed the coin press machine? Great job as usual! And are the boys trying to clean that moose's ear or what?

Cabela's is DH and DS's very favorite place to shop (online or catalog only - LOL!). They are building a store about 1 1/2 hours from us to open in the spring. DH and his buddies have already planned an outing to be waiting at the doors when they open. I had no idea that I should include it in our summer day trip schedule!!

Oh my, I forgot about their catalogs! Now I love to shop and can keep myself entertained in just about any catalog but I'd rather read a phonebook than a Cabela's catalog. They devote pages and pages to fishing lures, blech!

The store itself is the coolest thing about them. I'll have to try their fudge someday!

UMa, we have Cabella's & Bass Pro here in Dallas. We live closer to Bass Pro & frequent window shop our place Sundays, after church, also. Your "redneck" TR rocks! Very funny!

Santa visited Bass Pro in Dallas also. Dont'cha just love how the 'ol guy makes the rounds this time of year? He was doing a meet and greet in the boat dept. in TX. Here's his sleigh being pulled by deer ...

UMa, I do agree that we're comparing apples to oranges, but...if Cabella's is the Disney World of rednecks, than Outdoor World's Bass Pro is the Disney Land of rednecks!(Smaller & missing some of the key attractions the larger guy offers, but still special.) Here's a photo TR of one of our most recent visits of Outdoor World's Bass Pro :

Nothing says Season's Greetings like the Tree O' Heads...

TX pride was spillin' with this little critter mounted in the Christmas Tree (TX Armadillo)...

We were so thrilled to see characters right away! Here's Meeko (from Pochohantos) & it appears he picked up a hot Mama in his adventures...

Round the corner his cousins were sippin' on the suds. Sorry, but rumor has it they prefer Dr Pepper (it's a Texas thang!)

We also ran into one of Scar's buddies (from Lion King)! He looks a little angry, no?

Tod (from Fox & Hound) was in a hurry to go on break, but a CM assured us another charater would be out real soon...

Kudos to cast member Kaa (from Jungle Book) for remaining perfectly in character our whole visit & sqeezin' the love outta us...

After getting fast passes for Bass Pro's Tower of Terror, we were on our way

We had the friendliest CM onboard, who made the entire ride worth while!

After exiting, we were able to catch the 10:30 showing of Crush's Turtle Talk

When we were done with Crush we ran into this character, floatin' around. Apparently, he's having some problems sitckin' to the 12 step vegetarian program of Nemo's...

Outside of the castle of speed boats, Bass Pro Joe was casting his "magic" with a little fishie dust...

Then Hi Ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go..in a mine...

a mine, a million dollar min (of high tech weapons, he he!)

Took a break in the gift shop & found this after Christmas special, ewwww...

One can never escape the advertising for Universal these days either! Check out the Shrek & Sponge Bob fishing rods....(shout out to SpongeMommie05 from DisBoutique! )

We were getting in line for Small World when this joker was escorted out, he didn't read the keep yer hands & feet in the vehicle signs!

Pumba's (from Lion King) Wart Hog cousins were visiting also & could see the whole family tree lineage...

We were unable to taste the savory redneck Disneyland delights in the restaurant without a GAC this visit. (We usually go for the chicken fingers & fries...with all the free bread you want!)

I didn't at all! No one chuckled. No one whispered to their shopping mates. NOTHING! Like it's perfectly normal to take pictures of fishing lures and CROCS? Maybe they just thought we were EXTREME scrapbookers and wanted to document our day at Redneck Disneyland????

Thank You!!!!! Sorry to quote the whole thing and not thumb nail the pictures...I just couldn't do it! Your pics are great! Tell, me did you get ANY funny looks for taking pictures of odd things? I didn't at all! No one chuckled. No one whispered to their shopping mates. NOTHING! Like it's perfectly normal to take pictures of fishing lures and CROCS? Maybe they just thought we were EXTREME scrapbookers and wanted to document our day at Redneck Disneyland????

Nope, didn't get one blink of an eye about taking pictures. The archery CM didn't even give me a hard time. Like it happens all the time that he get's asked for a photo with someone's son while on the elevator!

Honestly, I think I was being outdone by the tourists in camping world who were taking picture with their camera phones. These guys were pretending to scale the cement mountain & fight the giant grizzly, while their friend was laying on the floor getting weird angles for the shots!! I'd love to see them post those photos!
