:cool1: We just returned from Aquatica this past weekend. We rented a cabana and loved it! The park wasn't really that crowded. But if it was we would still have felt like we owned the park! Quiet, relaxing, very private! The only thing is it took about 1hr to get our lunched delivered to the cabana and we could have picked it up ourselves in about 5-10 minutes. ( it did come in a nice picnic basket!)

:thumbsup2 Glad to hear you had a great time. I have a cabana booked for the 1st of July for my DD and I as a special treat. Do you have any photos you could share as they are very hard to come by and I would love to see what we have to look forward to.

Just went to Aquatica today and rented a cabana. I agree with Northeast Mom...it is well worth the money! It was a beautiful day and the park got a little crowded, so it was nice to have our own private place to relax. In walking around the park, I noticed that just about every lounge chair in the park was taken. It was a relief not having to worry about securing a chair. I will have to say that I think that some of the cabanas are in more desirable spots than others, but they are given out on a first come first serve basis.

My wife didn't like anything on the lunch delivery menu so we walked to the restaurant by us and carried the tray back to the cabana. However, a few people in the cabanas around us ordered lunch and I agree that it appeared to take about an hour to arrive.

I took a few cabana pictures and will try to post them soon.

By the way, the website said they opened at 10AM today, but they opened an hour early. We arrived at 9:30 thinking we were early and were pleasantly surprised!

Here are some pictures of the cabanas...

Great pictures Bucsfan1029. Thanks for sharing.

Do you have any more information on the more desirable spots or the cabanas to try and avoid? We will be planning to get there pretty early so this info may help us.

We had a cabana in the Uluwatu area, right next to Cutback Cove (just to the left, if you are looking at a map). It was a very private location, but the only problem I had was that the lockers were nowhere near the cabana. They were located by Kiwi Traders in the middle of the park. Same thing with the restrooms....

The cabanas located next to Big Surf Shores (just to the right, if you are looking at a map) have lockers and restrooms located very close to the cabanas. The location is also a little more central in the park. It appears that there are only about 5 cabanas in this area though, so they may be harder to get.

There are also 5 cabanas located directly next to Whanau Way. I never walked into this area, but I noticed the designated smiking area was located in the same area. I'm not sure the smoke would be a factor, but you do lose some privacy from the people walking into the area to smoke.

Our cabana was near the lockers (near the small kiddie area, on the right side of the map..sorry I don't have exact names for the location!) and the bathrooms were right there...We would do it again for sure!!:woohoo:

Northeast mom - I think you were in the best spot of the 3 cabana areas. All 3 areas are nice, but the convenience of the lockers, restroom, and kids area is an added plus.

how do they know who can or cannot go into the cabanas. Are they blocked and checked by a person or can anyone walk up to it. What about other people you know going, can they come by your cabana to visit?

There is nobody officially checking at the entrance to the cabanas, but the cabana employees are consistently in the area. They do know how many are supposed to be in your party so if someone was there that wasn't supposed to be, then they may say something. Technically, it's supposed to be $30 for every person over 4 people, so I am not sure if you are allowed visitors. It probably wouldn't be an issue if it was a quick visit.

However, when we were checking in the party in front of us had 7 people and they did not charge them extra because 3 of them were kids. It seemed like they were making an exception though.

Hi,

I booked us a cabana for a Monday in July. I was wondering, is there a special line to get into to enter the park, for the people who rent a cabana? Do we have to wait in the general long line? I already purchased the park tickets online.

Please advise!

Thanks!:goodvibes

How much does it cost to rent a cabana for the day?
We're a family of 5... but our youngest will be 4 when we go.
I hope they don't charge $30 extra bucks for her.... she's a tiny thing.

I believe it's $150 for the day now, and it goes up to $175 after Memorial Day. We booked it for July and it came to $183 with tax.

You should be able to "sneak" the little one in.....:)

There is a special entrance if you rent a cabana. Next to Guest Relations (to the left of the turnstiles), there is an entrance labled "Big Kahunas" or something like that. They will handle everything in there and take you out directly into the park and show you to your cabana.

Thanks for the info! It'll be nice not having to wait in the long lines! We'll still get there early enough to get a decent parking spot (9:00 ish?).

:cool1:

Does lunch come with the cabanna? What do they offer and any idea of the Prices. Website doesn't mention this. Just wondering.

Thanks!!!

No, lunch does not come with the price of the Cabana. I understand the waiter will bring you a menu when you arrive and you should order lunch 1 hr. ahead of time (it takes 1 hr. to prepare???). They will bring it in a nice picnic basket and then you have to pay him/her for it (charge or cash), and don't forget the tip!

Hope this helps!

We actually opted not to have our lunch delivered for a few reasons. First of all, when it got to be lunch time we were hungry and didn't want to wait an hour (we didn't order ahead because we were having too much fun on the slides!). And secondly, the selection on the menu they provide isn't that great. They had mostly wraps and sandwiches...they really didn't have any hot food. We went to the restaurant 100 yards away from our cabana and carried it back to the cabana to eat it.
