Usually serves until 8:00, but you can remain there until 8:30.

They will start sweeping straggling guests off by about 9:30 regardless.

Remember how excited you were to get on? There is a terminal full of people just that excited for THEIR cruise - and they can't even think about it until all the prior guests are off.

Yep- I get that. Lots of cruises and I haven't needed to be swept out yet!

Cool! Just putting it out there as the majority of the time we get that question it's people wanting to stay on board as long as possible.

We asked on our server on our cruise last March (Dream) if Cabanas was opened the last morning and was told the main dining room was our only option?!
Is Cabanas usually open on the last morning? Is it super crowded?

USUALLY it is, but there could be reasons it is not. I have zero issues going to the MDR on the last morning, so I've never bothered to go to the buffet so no clue how busy it is.

I've never minded the MDR on the final morning - it's nice to be served and have a chance to say a final good-bye to my service team. (Funny how the "it's so nice to sit and be served" argument so many use for the MDR first day lunch goes out the window on the last morning...)

We sometimes opt for Cananas over the MDR because we find the menu on the last
morning to be fairly limited.

We have done both on the last morning, it really depends if we get out of our stateroom in time not to be embarrassed as we enter MDR too late.

Cabanas does not have everything they usually offer. I did not find it especially crowded.

I think that argument is so because at least in my experience I have found the service very different on the last morning and it is not a relaxing meal as it is upon embarkation. I would say more times than not the servers seem very rushed, there is luggage all over making it hard to maneuver around, food is so so. I like saying goodbye the night before at dinner.

I would much rather go up to Cabanas when I want the last morning (sans luggage) and be back to my cabin before 8:00 to collect my carry ons and head out. It is usually very empty up there and there is quite an assortment of food. Maybe not completely what they have during the week but certainly nice offerings (hot and cold).

My experience was that on that last morning, they take "on time" very seriously in the MDR. I went back to my room because I realized I had forgotten our comment cards. It took no more than 5 minutes, but I almost didn't get fed. My son who was 15 minutes late to breakfast (and realized he might be too late) was told he was too late, but then they did go bring him something that they had available, but no choice on his part. In future, he should have just gone to Cabanas.

I don't blame them for being this way on the last morning, I just want people to know that on that last morning, they really want everyone there right on time. If I had known that, I would have waited to get my comment cards after breakfast.
