On my last visit to Aulani with my niece's family, I booked a cabana for the day. There were 6 of us, so it was nice not having to search for lounge chairs. Also nice to have a cool place to relax and get out of the sun when needed.
I'll be going back in February with my bf and plan to reserve a cabana again (he doesn't like to be out in the sun for long periods). Does anyone know the cancellation policy (if there is one) for the cabana? Also, what is the current rate?
My only concern is that I am really hoping to see one of the surfing competitions on the north shore. Since I hear that they may not know when the competition will go until a day or 2 before hand, if I needed to cancel the cabana, can I and how far in advance is required? (The surf events have a range of dates when they could be held, i.e. February 1-12, and once they know when the big waves are projected, then they'll decide on a competition date.) So I need to be pretty flexible, if I want to see it in person.
