I am staying Concierge and REALLY want a to book a Cabana. Am I better off letting Concierge book that for me or should I try myself at 12:01am the day my window opens?

Has the Concierge team ever not been able to get a Cabana if you asked them to book one?

Just not sure which way I should go with this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have booked a cabana via concierge 3 times, they have not failed. That being said, there have been a few instances where posters have stated that concierge did not book a cabana. If you feel the need to do it yourself, so be it. Me, I have full trust that concierge will get it done.

Ask the concierge to book it and then check at 12:00 to make sure it is there. The cabanas reserved by concierge will be in the system before 12 (they just won't show up until then). So anyone that asked the concierge to book it will be a jump ahead of those checking in right at 12:00. But if you are worried that they won't make the reservation, then you can always check right at midnight to be sure.

Oh okay. So it sounds like I can ask them to do it and still try at 12am. If it's not booked them, then I can still try to book it myself? That's great news!! Thank you!

I booked twice by myself, before concierge took 125 day requests. This time around I had concierge book our cabanas. The concierge told me that they honor requests in order received so once you 125 day window opens email them (after 12:01). The next day they will enter your requests. Much easier than the last time where I could not get the system to reserve the cabana it just kept spinning!

I booked a cabana for the first time last week. Wrote to concierge shortly after midnight 125 days before and they put in my requests, including the cabana, in the afternoon 121 days before. I could see them (unconfirmed) under my account the day before the 120 day window opened. The reservations were confirmed the morning of the 120 day window. Got my first choice cabana which I doubt would have been possible if I had tried myself since the reservation system was very slow around midnight.

Concierge is the way to go. The concierge actually control the cabana rentals themselves and hold back 1 or 2 they can assign later as needed.

We emailed Shore Side Concierge at 12:01AM EST with our reservation requests (we specified the Cabana number we wanted). Then at the 120 day mark we went online and confirmed that everything was the way we wanted. So far this has worked for us on our two concierge sailings. We will plan on doing the same for our December sailing as well.

If you're sailing on the Dream or Fantasy, there's a decent chance you won't get a cabana unless you submit the request at 125 days.

Have concierge do it! As others have said, e-mail concierge at 12:01 am, 125 days prior to your cruise. They will time stamp the e-mail and reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis (that's why you want that 12:01 am time stamp!). At 125 days out, you really only have other concierge guests to compete with. As long as you get that e-mail in at 12:01 am, you should be fine. We did this for our last cruise and got everything we wanted.

We are staying concierge for the first time and just booked a cabana. I didn't even know about them until I called in at 123 days out to change our dining time. I asked if there was anything else I should know about and she recommended the cabana. So glad I asked! But to the point of your question, I would put the request in as soon as possible and I'm sure you'll have a very good chance of getting one.

For the Adult Only Beach at Castaway, does anyone recommend a certain Cabana number (location)?

We were cabana 24 on Serenity Bay. It was the next to last one and was a pretty decent walk to the restrooms and lunch buffet. There is a button to call for a golf cart if you don't want to walk. Personally, the cabana was nice but I don't think I would do it again and not because of the cost. It was actually hotter in the cabana than on the beach with an umbrella and I like being closer to the water.

We booked thru the site instead of thru concierge and there was only one left (#12). Will probably have the concierge do it next time and give preferences on cabana #
