We stayed in connecting Volcano Bay rooms over Christmas. I wasn't sure what to expect but we LOVED it. To the tune of saying we'd love to do a staycation at the resort.

The food hall had so many great options. The resort had so many activities we didn't even get to. We had one afternoon we spent poolside swimming and playing cards. It was so much fun. We never even got to the pool that has the waterslide!!

My only negative is those stupid helicopter tours. Those are such a buzzkill.

Glad you liked it. CBBR was always a favorite of mine when not needing EP; there were lots of bad reports during the pandemic peak which made me sad. (The Volcano view rooms are newer however.) I haven't stayed there since Feb 2020, looking forward to being back in May!

When we booked, I had made the assumption we would be in one of the towers- which I think are newer? We were in fact at the very end on the top floor of Americana. It was definitely looking tired and worn if you looked too closely (don't get me started on my laundry room debacle) but we were very forgiving after being unable to travel for nearly 2 years!

I had assumed from your post that you were in the towers. I always go for a standard room, as I am usually solo when staying there. Although I have been upgraded a few times have never been in the towers. They could stand a refurbishment!

When I booked "Volcano Bay" rooms, that's what I thought I'd be getting too! But we were quite satisfied with the 100% Volcano Bay views from our rooms in Americana.
