cabana at Discovery cove...worth the extra $100???

I think when we go to DC we will want to book the $229 photo package that includes the DVD. The lady on the phone today told me that for a price of $339, we get the photo package plus a cabana. Do you think the cabana is worth it at DC? Part of me would prefer to put that $100 towards getting a cabana for our AQ day instead. I figured since the guest list is more limited at DC that it will be easier to get chairs than it will be at AQ. We have never been to either place so I'm not sure what to expect. We will be going the few days after Easter next year so I expect both parks to be busy. So far for that week DC pricing isn't bad, it's the standard $259 per person for the day I want where as the few weeks before Easter it's 289-339 already per person. So I am thinking I will book tickets soon before the prices go up. Easter is later next year (April 16th) so that may be why the days after Easter aren't as expensive as mid March to mid April is.
So if you had to choose b/w a cabana at AQ or DC, which is the better choice?

While I love having a cabana at both, if I had to pick between the two, I would go for the Aquatica cabana for a few different reasons....

1. Aquatica has more people, making a private reserved space a lot more valuable.

2. Your Aquatica cabana comes with 12 bottles of water (chilled in your own private fridge), an in-cabana locker (saving you that rental fee), rental towels, and a 20% discount at the gift shops. Cold drinks, lockers and towels are already free and readily accessible for all guests at Discovery Cove, even without a cabana rental.

3. You may find that all the stairs and slides at Aquatica really tire you out, and you will need some rest time in the privacy of your own space. At DC, its a different pace....a little less hectic, a lot more relaxing....so a place to get away from the hullaballoo isn't always such a necessity.

We *always* get a cabana at Aquatica, but only splurge for one at DC on occasion.

You do get extras at DC- tote bag, teddy, photo frame, boy delivered by dolphin( if doing the swim) as well as a staff member to get drinks etc and the private cabana space. We are doing it as hubby birthday so the boy has happy birthday daddy written on it which will be a nice touch.
I agree that the cabana at Aquatica is more reasonable but the DC one will be a nice treat.

That's with the Elite Package (which is $399 per the website). The OP said her total would be $339, and indicated that that price was adding a cabana to the pre-purchase of her photo package.

I originally thought it was through an upgrade to the Elite package as well, until the OP mentioned the price.

The lady on the phone did call it the elite package. Maybe I misunderstood the price but I swear she said it was $100 more for the cabana, $339 total. Either way I think we will save the $ for an AQ cabana. Thx!
