Has anyone done this? Do you remember about how much it cost? I know that bell services can call us a cab from our Disney hotel but are there cabs available when we are leaving Sea World?

I believe SW has a cab pool that hangs around at the park. I've taken a cab to and from OKW to Discovery Cove, it was 25 on the way there and 21 on the way back (go figure). It'll depend where on Disney property you are, but it shouldn't be that much more than what I paid. Those numbers are from January by the way. I stick with Mears cabs, and if you go on their website, there's a fare estimator.

Yes, cabs will be waiting in a separate area outside SW (after leaving the park, turn right and walk up a ways and you'll see them lined up). From SW to/from Universals Royal Paciifc it was $20-25 depending on how much traffic we had.

There are a ton of cabs at the end of the nite all lined up and asking if you need a ride when you walk out towards the parking lot. not sure of the price, we always booked our ride in advance and had it waiting.

Thanks everyone! I'll be traveling alone with my daughters so it just makes me a little nervous if I'm not quite sure how to get back.

Don't worry, there are always lots of cabs waiting to take you home. :goodvibesWe took them multiple times to and from SW and Discovery Cove during our stay at Universal last year.

What are the chances that any of the cabs have booster seats for children. Do alot of them have it, it must be pretty common. Or am I better off reserving a car to ensure it has them.

I would try to use a shuttle which in some cases is cheaper than a taxi. Try, Prime Time Shuttle, my family and I use them and it's great because it's worry free. They'll drop you off and pick you up at your convenience.

Is it better to book the Mears cab for five of us?

Mears actually has a shared ride shuttle service. I know it was $18 roundtrip for an adult. Not sure how much for a child. Hope that helps.

It was $30 each way from All-Star Music last weekend. If it wasn't a wake-up and go decision (I have the 2011 Funpass, so my ticket was covered) I would've booked the Mears shuttle. $18 r/t for 2 adults would've been a decent savings.

I was also going to use a taxi, which I'm thinking is going to cost closer to $50 roundtrip.

How do you book a charter/shuttle. Do you they use a Mears van or bus? Is a space for you reserved? I tried to look online but the only think that came up was from the airport. Do you call ahead? And they pick you up at your resort?

Sorry so many questions. This would save some money. That I could later spend at Disney:rotfl2:
